Chocolate Story York
In the Spring Term Year 3 visit The Chocolate Story in York. This is a day long visit which includes a tour of the history of chocolate production around the world and moves forward to how chocolate is produced today. The story starts with the Mayan people and how they consumed their chocolate. It is not at all what you might expect. For the second half of the day, the children take part in a workshop which focusses on Roald Dahl's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. They will spend some time looking at characters, before as the highlight to the day, the children design and make their own Willy Wonka style chocolate creation.
